Sire ReviewFirst of all, finally a story about college students and vampires. Whenever I read about vampires dating high school girls, I think "have these people ever met American teenagers?! No one wants to date them but other teenagers and weirdos. Stop writing about that!"
But aside from that, this story was pretty great. Can't wait for the sequel. Not a fan of the vegetarian vampire trope anymore, but I'm willing to look the other way on that one tiny quibble. The story moved quickly and kept you engaged and didn't stall or stutter at any point. Thomas knew what he wanted to say and where he wanted to go and how he wanted to get there. I appreciated that.

I also loved that Michael wasn't ancient. The majority of vampire stories I've read have these jaded, world/life weary vampires who are just so sick of having been alive for so long (suck it up, fang boy) and I about died when Michael was like "I'm 19". Yay.
